Thank you for installing NTpage. We are confident you will find this one of the easiest-to-use and most powerful wireless messaging applications that you've ever used.
If you're new to wireless messaging and alphanumeric paging, don't worry. The installation wizards will lead you through the process of setting up your software - you'll be up and running in minutes.
In 1998 there were more than 55 million pagers in use in the United States alone. By 2004 there are expected to be 66.4 million paging devices in use. A new class of wireless devices have recently come on the scene that of the PCS digital phone with its short message service (SMS).
NTpage is one of the first general purpose enterprise-wide wireless messaging software application to integrate paging technology with Windows NT. This allows Windows NT users to send wireless messages to pagers, keeping mobile individuals informed.
NTpage's scaleability makes it an attractive solution to businesses of all sizes. The combination of NTpage and Windows NT provides a real-time solution to businesses relying on the rapid delivery and acknowledgment of critical information. Because NTpage is truly scaleable, small businesses and large corporations alike have the benefit of communicating wirelessly with one or thousands of one-way subscribers.
The NTpage Client provides immediate access to the paging server for critical messages and provides real time message queue status. Programmers can easily integrate the power of paging into their applications with the NTpage API (Application Programming Interface).
NTpage is an intelligent paging server based on the industry standard Internet protocol TCP/IP as an internal networking backbone. Named Pipes are also supported.
