Network Tab Details

Details on the Network Tab for Server Configuration in NTpage Administrator.

NTpage can use either TCP/IP or Named Pipes for communication between client processes and the NTpage Server. NTpage can support both protocols simultaneously.

TCP/IP Communication

Enable TCP/IP - Select this if you want to used TCP/IP as the method of communications between the NTpage Client and the NTpage Server.

TCP/IP address - Enter the TCP/IP address of the NTpage Server machine.

TCP/IP port - Enter the TCP/IP port for NTpage to use. The default TCP/IP Port is 4778.

TCP/IP timeout - This is the time to wait for a response from a request via TCP/IP. Default is 30.

Named Pipe Communication

Enable Named Pipes - Select this if you want to used Named Pipes as the method of communications between the NTpage Client and the NTpage Server.

Pipe Time Out - This is the time to wait for a response from the pipe. Default is 2.

Maximum Concurrent Pipes - This is the maximum number of Named Pipes sessions that the NTpage Server will support simultaneously.
